Making more changes on our music video

Me and my group members watched our music video on last lesson and thought we had actually completed the video but once watching it again we noticed that there were more changes that could be made to make the music video better than it was. We made an agreement that we would we would do more filming to do more close up shots as our music video included lots of long shots and there was none close up shots of amandas face so were going to go out in our lesson with a camera and do some close up shots for our music video. We wont need to bring a tripod for our filming process as we have learnt to use a steadycam without processing shakey footage.

Digipak photograph ideas

My favourite Digipak cover in one of my posts below i had put as Rihanna LOUD album, i quoted how i loved the colour scheme that she used and how it made everything stand out and was different to any other album cover i had seen. I mentioned to my group members how i thought that having a particular colour scheme would be a good idea instead of having a plain cover. Our intention and idea for our own Digipak cover is that the photographs used would be black and white with an input of red involved within it. Having amanda on the front cover we could then create the photo in black and white and maybe having a flower or her lips made to look red with the help of photoshop to create this. I think this idea is significantly different and stands out because a black and white photo normally gives a bland and blunt edge, creating a calm vibe of the photo for an audience, but then involving red also with the photo makes the photo stand out 50% more than the black and white one already did in the first place. I have interpretated my favourite Digipak Rihanna's LOUD album and somehow hopefully involving it within my own one. Rihannas LOUD album cover seen above has the main colour scheme being red which is what effect i want to have on my album cover.

Me and my group members decided to take a variety of different photographs for our digipak cover and enitre album booklet. We had an idea already of what we wanted and expected our Digipak to look like but we all agreed that we should take lots of different photos so that if we didn't like the outcome we had other photos to use to help us.

 

Thoughts on our Digipak Cover

 After taking some photographs in different locations and using different props for our digipak photographed one photo in particular that caught my attention immediantly. Straight after uploading them onto the MAC computer for editing, we called our teacher over for her thoughts and opinions of the photos and i straight away pointed out that i definetly wanted this as the front cover of our Didgipak because i thought that the pose and the scarf that i picked out applied onto Amanda was a good idea, she loved the photo also which is brilliant! So we have know decided that this will definetly be the front cover of our digipak. Asking for feedback and opinions of other class members and our teachers is a good research method as one these would be people that if they saw this in a shop would like.

There was a lot footage involved within the filming process of our video which wasn't used actually inside our video. There was many reasons why we didn't use the footage, some of the footage filmed were too dark and unclear on camera, so for the audience watching the video it would of made it particular difficult for the audience to see what was going on. We showed our video every other week or day when editing and changes had been made with footage and we used our teachers and peoples opinions to better our music video. Some said at first that the some parts of filming wernt in the right place like with the image in the lower left hand corner.
