The Purpose and Success Criteria
The whole purpose procedure of making a music video would be to entertain people and gain peoples attention whilst watching it. Nobody would take any interest in a music video that doesnt particularly interest them would they? It would pointless, you have to appeal to an audience that is what the purpose of a video is. An example of a story line music video would be 'Beyonce - Best thing I never had' as this video is expressing the meaning within the lyrics and also the video is telling story within it. Music artists also want to promote their music video; advertisement which adds value on to their song. Drawing attention to the music, illustraating the song then may appeal to a visual audience. Everyone loves a music video, it markets an image for people and then even persuades the audience watching the buy their CD or to download and listen to more of the artists songs. If your intersted and drawn in to their msuic video, it will then push you to wanting to hear or see more of their music which i think is a very clever and manipluative method.
