Looking in to audience theory work, there are three individual different theories of audiences that we can apply to help come up with a better understanding of the relationship between the media texts and an audience.
The three theories are :

1) The Effect model/Hyprodermic model
2) The uses and graphications models
3) Reception theory

Why do audience choose to consume certain texts?

How do they consume texts? 
  • Social Networking sites/Internet

What happens when they consume text?
A model of media -
Audience consumption of texts :
* Films, Newspapers, Internet, Computer games, Advertisement, Magazines, Radio.

The institutions consume the media texts; Institutions such as :

  • Youtube
  • VUE
  • Odeon
  • Cineworld
  • DISNEY
  • SONY
  • Warner Bro
  • MTV
The roles of the institutions:
  1. Advertise
  2. Produce
  3. Promote
  4. Distribute
  5. Exhibit
  • The Link between the 'Instituion' and the 'Text' is Financial Transaction.
